GTX2200 Series: Time Interval Timer PXI Board
overviewThe GTX22x0 series universal time interval counter provides many measurement and timing functions of high-end independent frequency counters, including accumulation, automatic ratio, frequency, fast frequency (only GTX2220 and GTX2230), cycle, rate, single cycle, test clock, time interval, time interval delay, accumulation, total gating, total gating once, and pulse width. There are three models to choose from: GTX2210, GTX2220, and GTX2230. The frequency range of GTX2210 is DC to 225MHz, GTX2220 can support frequencies up to 1.3GHz, and GTX2230 covers frequencies up to 2GHz. This board can also use PCI format (GC22xx).

characteristicThe GTX22x0 series counter has two signal input channels, input through BNC connectors, and includes an external time base input, ARM input, and a gate signal output. Separate input signals can be used for arming and gating circuits, and timing analysis (start/stop duration) of the control circuit can be performed for maximum range flexibility measurement. The GTX22x0 series counter uses an onboard microprocessor and embedded firmware to offload processing tasks from the main CPU. The counter uses a high-density, low-power field programmable threshold array (FPGA) to perform complex tasks. Countdown counting technology is used to achieve high-resolution measurement of low-frequency signals at the expense of measurement time. These technologies provide a fixed bit resolution for all frequencies, rather than a fixed resolution of the same threshold (Hz). GTX2220 and GTX2230 can measure a frequency of 0.1 per millionth (seven digits) in just 1ms, and solve the problem of measuring up to 100ps at each time. The ability to accurately solve frequency and time can improve accuracy and reduce measurement time. In addition, these counters also include an onboard 10MHz TCXO, which serves as a time base for internal frequency reference. The high-precision 10MHz TCXO can be used as an option for GTX2220 and GTX2230. External 10MHz input can also be used with an external time base. |
Programming and SoftwareThis board supports GXCNT software, including virtual instrument panel, Windows 32/64 bit DLL driver library, and documentation. The virtual panel can be used for interactive programming, controlling the instrument displayed in the window, and displaying the current settings and status of the instrument. In addition, interface files are provided to support access to programming tools and languages such as ATEasy LabVIEW、LabVIEW/Real-Time、C/C++、Microsoft Visual Basic ®、 Delphi and Pascal. The online help document and PDF user guide contain instructions for installation, use, and board programming. An independent software development package - GtLinux - supports Linux 32/64 bit operating systems. application
